The Friends of the Pewaukee
Public Library believe that a healthy, growing library is an important
part of a strong community. The group was started in 1993 by a number of
individuals who recognized the need for improved library facilities in
the City and Village of Pewaukee and wanted to help the library to grow
and flourish. They meet several times a year on an as-needed basis,
usually on the second Monday of the month.
The Friends mission is to stimulate community awareness, use of the
Pewaukee Public Library and to raise funds for the purchase of items and
equipment beyond the normal library budget.
The Friends raise funds
primarily through holding book sales. They are always looking for donations
for these book sales!
The Friends also have a
smaller on-going book sale within the Library where people can browse
for books Select material from the Book Nook in the Library and purchase
them at the Circulation desk.
Funds raised by the Friends
have gone to pay for new equipment, supplies and materials.
The Friends are currently
seeking new members who are interested in actively participating in the
organization. If you would like to join the Friends of the Pewaukee
