Adult Summer Reading

Adult summer reading? YES! Each summer we have a program just for adults that is fun and easy. Summer is always a great time to catch up on reading. Reading lets you relax and escape. It makes you think and be informed. It can even reduce your stress level. If you’re a parent or care-provider for children, reading is a great model. Children who see their role models reading want to read and be read to! In the summer of 2018 our theme was Libraries Rock.  In addition to weekly prize drawings for reading we had music trivia, music documentaries, and evening music programs. We also made scarves for those in need and collected food for the Pewaukee Food Pantry. Summer remains one of the 4 best seasons to visit the library!

We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without a little (a lot) of help from our Friends. The Friends of the Pewaukee Public Library help us out in many ways and in the summer of 2018, they sponsored our final summer music program – The Beatles and the Rolling Stones. We are thankful for their hard work and dedication to our mission.
