Adult summer reading? YES! Each summer we have a program just for adults that is fun and easy. Summer is always a great time to catch up on reading. Reading lets you relax and escape. It makes you think and be informed. It can even reduce your stress level. If you’re a parent or care-provider for children, reading is a great model. Children who see their role models reading want to read and be read to!
In the summer of 2019, we explored a Universe of Stories and had a great time. We found out how to take better summer photos, learned about the unique flavors of Wisconsin, revisited the moon walk on the 50th anniversary, and listened to music through the decades. We made blankets for those in need, stocked the Pewaukee Food Pantry, and added captions to photos of library life. All of that in addition to reading books with a chance to win a gift card, watching movies, and discussing books in our book clubs.
Join us for the Fall programs we’re planning and stay tuned for summer 2020! Our thanks and appreciation always to the Friends of the Pewaukee Public Library who help fund programs we wouldn’t otherwise be able to provide!
