Children’s Summer Reading

The 2021 Summer Library Program is fast approaching!  The program will begin on Monday, June 14.

Kids who participate can earn prizes by reading and completing other activities.  Prizes will include coupons for free food and other fun places to visit, great new books, and raffle tickets for a chance to win one of our big prize packs.

You can track your reading through a service called Beanstack.  Beanstack is free to use, and can be accessed through your web browser or through a free app on your mobile device.

Click here to visit Beanstack and join the challenge on or after June 14, or download the free app to your mobile device.  If you have used Beanstack for a previous challenge, such as the 2020 Summer Reading Program, you do not need to create a new account.  For more information on how to create an account and log your reading, click here.

Please note that kids who will be entering 6th grade this fall have the option to participate in either the Kids’ Summer Reading Program, -OR- the Teen Summer Reading Program.  On or after June 14, visit Beanstack and choose whichever program you think is the best fit for you.

Please visit our Calendar of Events to learn more about the free special events we have planned for this summer.  We’re ready to have lots of great outdoor fun!  Summer reading helps grow reading levels and keeps kids smart and engaged all year.

Beanstack was made available to the Pewaukee Public Library and our library users thanks to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services grant LS-00-19-0050-19. Our thanks and appreciation!

Thank you as well to all of the sponsors who made our Summer Reading Program possible.
