Children’s Summer Reading

The 2022 Summer Library Program is fast approaching!  The program will begin on Monday, June 13.

Participating in the Summer Library Program is a fantastic way to help kids maintain and grow the skills they have worked on during the school year.  Children can increase reading skills, enjoy new interests, and delight in discovering new favorite books.

Track your reading through a service called Beanstack.  Using Beanstack allows kids to score virtual badges and earn prizes and raffle tickets just by reading and doing other fun summer activities.

Click here to visit Beanstack and join the challenge on or after June 13, or download the free app to your mobile device.  If you have used Beanstack for a previous challenge, such as the 2021 Summer Reading Program, you do not need to create a new account.  For more information on how to create an account and log your reading, click here.

Please note that kids who will be entering 6th grade this fall have the option to participate in either the Kids’ Summer Reading Program, -OR- the Teen Summer Reading Program.  On or after June 13, visit Beanstack and choose whichever program you think is the best fit for you.

Please visit our Calendar of Events to learn more about the free special events we have planned for this summer, or download this printable version.  We have lots of great activities planned for kids of all ages!

Beanstack was made available to the Pewaukee Public Library and our library users thanks to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services grant LS-00-19-0050-19. Our thanks and appreciation!
