Teen Summer Reading

2021’s Teen Summer Reading Program is fast approaching!  The program will begin on Monday, June 14.

Teens who participate can earn prizes (coupons for free food, free books, and raffle tickets) by logging the number of minutes they spend reading.  Read a little, or read a lot, all at your own pace!  Teens can also earn additional raffle tickets for a chance to win one of our big prizes by writing book reviews, attending library events, or trying other activities this summer.

Everyone will track their reading through a service called Beanstack.  Beanstack is free to use, and can be accessed through your web browser or through a free app on your mobile device.

Click here to visit Beanstack and join the challenge on or after June 14, or download the free app to your mobile device.  If you have used Beanstack for a previous challenge, such as the 2020 Summer Reading Program, you do not need to create a new account.  For more information on how to create an account and log your reading, click here.

Please note that kids who will be entering 6th grade this fall have the option to participate in either the Kids’ Summer Reading Program, -OR- the Teen Summer Reading Program.  On or after June 14, visit Beanstack and choose whichever program you think is the best fit for you.

Beanstack was made available to the Pewaukee Public Library and our library users thanks to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services grant LS-00-19-0050-19. Our thanks and appreciation go out to these institutions!

Thank you as well to all of the sponsors who made our Summer Reading Program possible.

Outdoor, virtual, and Grab & Go events for teens will be happening all summer long!  Please visit our Calendar of Events for the full descriptions of all events, or to sign up.
