The Pewaukee Public Library offers interlibrary loan (ILL) services, which helps eligible patrons obtain materials that are unavailable in our library or other Bridges Library System libraries. You must have a valid Pewaukee Public Library Card or a Café library card to be eligible for borrowing.
How do I make a request?
If you have checked our catalog and discover we don’t have the item you’re looking for, stop in or call our reference desk (262-691-5670, ext. 925) and a staff member will check the database of Wisconsin library materials to see if it is available. We are not able to get items from outside of Wisconsin and we do not request DVDs.
How long does it take?
Delivery time depends on the availability of items at other libraries and the shipping method used by that library. Sometimes it can take several weeks.
What happens when my materials arrive at the library?
You will receive a phone call or email from us indicating that the material is being held for you at the checkout desk.
How many requests can I make?
You may make up to five out-of-system requests at one time.
How long can I keep my ILL item?
Check-out periods may vary, depending on the loan period given to us by the supplying library. The due date will be clearly marked on the item.
Can I renew my ILL material?
There are no renewals on ILL materials.
What happens if an ILL item becomes overdue?
Overdue fines on out-of-system items are $1.00 per day. If an ILL item is lost or damaged, you will be billed for the replacement fees accordingly.
