Why should summer have all the fun? Our Year-Round Reading Challenge is designed to keep you inspired and engaged with great books all year long. Whether you’re rediscovering old favorites or exploring new genres, this challenge is the perfect way to stay connected to reading throughout the seasons.
How It Works:
- Sign up in person at the library or online through Beanstack.
- If signing up in person, you can access the reading log form here

Explore 15 unique reading categories — then choose any 12 that inspire you.

Read one book from each of your chosen categories and log your progress.
Once you’ve completed your 12 books, you’ll earn:

A coupon for a free book from the Book Nook

An entry into our raffle for a local gift basket

An exclusive invitation to our celebration party in early 2027

FAQs
Do books I read before 2026 count toward the challenge?
To keep things fair and fun, only books read in 2026 will count toward your reading goal.
Can one book count for multiple categories?
Each category is meant to shine on its own, so you’ll pick a different book for each one.
Do I have to read a specific category each month?
Not at all! Even though we’ll spotlight certain categories throughout the year, you can read any category at any time.
Do I have to read a title from your recommended lists?
Our lists are just there for inspiration. Feel free to choose any book that fits the category—your picks don’t have to appear on our list.
Can I finish the challenge early?
Yes! You are welcome to complete the challenge at whatever pace works best for you.
What happens when I finish?
Stop by the library to pick up your Free Book coupon.
